Choir - singing

....peace. Sleep in heavenly peace."

[Silent night continues in background. Camera sweeps over Christmas tree, which has angel decorations, and then to an artistic representation of an angel.]

Male student - speaking

Angels have a large part in the story of Jesus's birth and God entrusted the angels with the message of peace and goodwill. We can be angels for one another. We can trust one another to be angels for us. Advent is a time of hope and hope refuses to be brought down by hard times.

It remembers the good times and goes on believing. We can go on believing in one another even if we may get let down, we can still begin anew. Let us see all the signs of hope and goodwill in the world today.

There is the joy of families who love one another and have fun together, people falling in love, babies are born, people get engaged.

Female student - speaking

We thank you for our teachers and all those in the College who support us, support this community. We are so fortunate to have so many, so many educational experiences to prepare us and shape us for an exciting and challenging future. Thank you, Father, for all the inspiring individuals we meet on this journey of discovery. Thank you, Lord.

Ann Barrow - speaking

Part of it is learning to trust, to give freely. To anticipate when others are in need as well and trying to recognise when they need that help. Maybe being that angel to somebody else.

Choir - singing

Each morning I get up I die a little, can barely stand on my feet,
Take a look at yourself in the mirror and cry:

[View of students dancing.]

Lord! What you're doing to me.

[View returns to choir.]

I have spent all my years in believing you, but I just can't get no relief, Lord!
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody.

[View of students dancing.]

Can anybody find me somebody to love?

[View returns to choir.]

I work hard (she works hard) every day of my life, I work till I ache in my bones.

[View of student at the piano.]

At the end (at the end of the day) I take home my hard earned pay all on my own,
I get down on my knees and I start to pray till the tears run down from my eyes.

[View returns to choir.]

Lord! Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody.

[View of students standing at microphone.]

Can anybody find me - somebody to love?

[View of student lighting candle.]

[View of student at the piano.]

She works hard - everyday, I try and I try and I try, but everybody wants to put me down.

[View returns to choir.]

They say I'm goin' crazy, they say I got a lot of water in my brain
I got no common sense, she's got nobody left to believe, yeah.

[View of candles, flowers and angel decorations.]

Got no feeling, I got no rhythm, I just keep losing my beat, I'm ok, I'm alright...

[Singing fades.]
