College Statement and Objectives
The College's Mission Statement:
St Brendan's seeks to serve the Catholic and wider community by providing post-16 education in a Sixth Form environment, underpinned by Christian values and ideals.
The College strives for excellence in teaching and learning, to act in the spirit of the gospel, to provide experience of a Christian community and to support each individual as a unique creation of God.
We understand that the long term future of the College is best served by understanding the interests of all our key people with whom we interact and we aim to treat everyone with dignity and respect. Hence, we are actively looking to improve our environment by providing a healthy, safe, modern workspace and a supportive and respectful culture. We want to see people enjoying working together as part of the College and wider community.

Equality Objectives
- Improve mechanisms for gathering, sharing and using Equality and Diversity data.
- Review human resources policies and procedures relating to performance management, absence and recruitment.
- Develop further policy and procedures and awareness raising on Health and Safety.
- Plan further Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) training for all staff.
- Further embed Equality and Diversity within the curriculum by having this as part of the Quality improvement plan.
- Designate governor and senior managers with specific responsibility for EDI
