- Age: Minimum entry age of 16. Students have to be 16 when applying for a visa (if required) and students are typically aged 16-19. Whilst we do not have an upper age cap we wish to keep the range within reasonable limits.
- Grades: Students applying to study an A-level programme must have obtained the equivalent of a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths and English) in a High School qualification e.g. China - Senior 1,2 or 3, Russia – transcripts of results from grades 10-11. We will use the international equivalencies database NARIC to assess your qualifications upon entry.
- English Language entry level: International students entering UK education without an English GCSE equivalent, requiring a study visa, will need to take a Secure English Language Test (SELT) at a UKVI approved test centre. If English is not your first language, you are required to have taken an English Language test and have a pass within the range of IELTS score of 5.5 (or equivalent) with no lower than 5.0 in any band of the test.
- EEA passport holders without GCSE equivalent qualifications* must study towards achieving Maths and English GCSE as part of their programme to be eligible for funding (so not pay tuition fees). Such students electing not to study towards Maths and English must pay full international tuition fees. *Level of education equivalent to GCSE is not sufficient, nationally recognised exit qualifications are required.
