We are hugely proud of first year A-level German students Julia Seroka and Magda Healy, who have recently been awarded opportunities to attend a two week summer course in Germany.

The talented students secured two of the 36 places available nationally and will have the opportunity to get first-hand experience of German life and culture, whilst improving their language skills at the same time.

The courses are run and funded by the Pädagogischer Austauschdienst (PAD), which is the German governmental institution in charge of international education at school level. As part of the award, Julia and Magda will become Primary School Ambassadors for the German Language. On their return from Germany they will be sharing their experiences, learning and love of the German language and culture with the wider community, by organising a workshop in a local primary school of their choice!
