With an aim of going back to Westminster better informed about what life is like in the Post-16 sector, the Civil Servant spent time at the College asking many questions and meeting members of the St Brendan’s community. Greeted by Principal Michael Jaffrain, Mr Wormald expressed his amazement at the “spectacular College site”.

In a highly informative meeting, Mr Wormald, along with members of the Senior Leadership Team at St Brendan’s, discussed the differences in education across Bristol and the aspects that make St Brendan’s so successful.

The Civil Servant also met with recent St Brendan’s graduates who spoke about their time at the College and shared fantastic memories. Students Jade Simpson and Luke Hancock have recently started at Bristol universities after achieving impressive results in their A-levels and were thrilled to talk to Chris Wormald about their educational experiences.

After an enjoyable visit, Chris Wormald left St Brendan’s to carry on his exploration of Bristol’s education sector.
