Application Procedure

Applications are accepted at any time from the September prior to the year in which you will join us (i.e. from September 2009 for joining September 2010). There is an application form at the back of our prospectus or you can download one from the contact page. The earlier you apply, the sooner you will be called for interview, and the greater the choice of courses you will be offered.

Interviews for places will start in October and provisional places will be offered soon after the interview. There is a more structured application timetable for those applying from Catholic collegiate schools.

We do advise all prospective students to visit us on one of our Open Evenings. It is also possible to see us 'in action' on a normal working day; to do this you would need to ring the Marketing Department on 0117 903 8867 or Reception on 0117 977 7766.

After you apply

Once you have accepted a place, we will remain in contact with you during the year. You will receive an invitation to attend a Preparation Day in late June when all new students spend a day at the College, meeting staff, attending lessons and speaking to existing students and others who will be joining in the new academic year.

You will receive an enrolment pack which will tell you the time of your enrolment, transport information and other information on procedures. Enrolment starts on the day that GCSE results are issued and continues for another four days. It will be during enrolment that you will need to confirm the subjects you will be studying.

Enrolment

Enrolment takes place from 27th August 2009, once your examination results are known. You must be available to enrol at the College from this date to secure your place.

If your results turn out to be different from expected, or you would like to change your courses, don't worry. If you have been offered a place at the College there will be a chance to discuss other options with the staff during enrolment.

At the end of the enrolment procedure we hope that you will have agreed the course of study and the enrichment programme that you will follow. You will have joined the Student Union, made transport arrangements, and got to know some of the College systems that you will follow.
