Method of Assessment
All new specifications will be assessed through a mixture of internally assessed assignments and externally assessed units.

External assessment will be set and marked by the exam board. There will be two opportunities for you to take the external assessments. An overall grade of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction Star is then awarded.

Qualifications are valued by employers and higher education. The BTEC Level 3 qualifications attract the same UCAS points as A-levels. A business qualification could also support you when applying for jobs in business related careers such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, IT, human resource management, marketing or sales.
You are required to have five GCSE passes at grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English.
During the course students are charged for printing and there are also costs incurred when privately buying reliable storage devices to back up their electronic files. In addition, a number of visits may be arranged which will require students to pay.
