After working hard at her A-levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology, Izzi left St Brendan’s to pursue a career in Medicine and now studies at the University of Leeds Medical School. In an interesting and motivating talk, Izzi told students what life is like at University and was clear on the exciting yet incredibly challenging nature of studying Medicine.

The Alumni member gave the students some top tips on the application process, entry exams, gaining work experience and what to think about when choosing a University. Prior to starting Med School, Izzi built up an impressive portfolio of volunteering work which helped her application immensely. From running cubs groups and working with the Red Cross, to learning sign language; Izzi is hugely passionate about helping others.

The group of BioMed students were inspired by Izzi’s hard work and determination and asked her many questions about her experiences since leaving St Brendan’s.
