Staff and students at St Brendan’s Sixth Form College have put together over 30 festive hampers to support families with young children, teenagers, elderly and housebound people across the region.

As in previous years they have worked in conjunction with the St Vincent De Paul Society in Bedminster, the Julian Trust Night Shelter, The Matthew Tree Project and a local primary school to distribute all of the hampers which contain basic foods as well as Christmas gifts and treats. In addition this year they were delighted to gain the assistance of their local branch of Enterprise Car and Van Hire who donated a van and driver to help with the project.

Michael Jaffrain (Principal at St Brendan’s Sixth Form College) said “The College is delighted to be able to come together to support the local community through the hamper project, it is a really nice, whole college effort involving the students, teaching staff and support staff”.
