Congratulations to students and staff on your 2013-14 results, they were fantastic.
Both A-level and AS level pass rates exceeded the national average for our suite of subjects. These results together with the 100% achievement in the International Baccalaureate and the Extended Project Qualification, and the 98.6% BTEC passes provide a great platform to start the new academic year.
This year the College is introducing several new courses and initiatives. New Level 3 BTECs are being taught in Applied Law and Dance, and a Level 2 BTEC in Sport is now up and running! Outside of the classroom, The Total Pro Soccer Academy has been extended to include a Girl’s Football Academy and there is a brand new Performing Arts & Media Career Academy beginning which will provide mentoring and master class opportunities for its members.
A new Coaching & Refereeing Academy is also about to begin which help students to gain extra qualifications and to put them into practice in schools and the community – this is the only academy of its kind in the whole of the South West. Transformations are occurring in the grounds themselves as well – a brand new block is being constructed which will include ten classrooms as well as a new social space and café – this is well underway and is due to be completed by January 2015.
