St Brendan's Russian History students recently attended Bristol’s third annual History conference in the Reception Room of the Wills Memorial Building at Bristol University.

Along with students from Red Maids, Redland High School and Mangotsfield, students enjoyed a fulfilling academic day. Lectures were given by Dr Claire Shaw of Bristol University and Professor Chris Read of Warwick University. They took the students from the Soviet State of the 1920’s, right up to the events surrounding the end of the USSR. St Brendan's students asked a range of well-informed questions at the end of some very stimulating and current lectures.
