This July, St Brendan’s students have been invited by Peter Symonds College (PSC), to join them on one of their regular trips to Kenya in conjunction with the charity Kenya 2020 (www.kenya2020.org.uk ).
Science teacher Jane George is leading the trip and will be taking three students; Alice Ricketts, Jon Murray and Sophie Baker. The focus of the trip is environmental conservation and the students will be participating in sustainable resource management and healthcare projects in Alara in Western Kenya. Our team have negotiated a large baggage allowance and are hoping to take some useful equipment and clothing with them for the community they will be working in.
