Nick was awarded the prestigious award last week which recognises his commitment to the Cadets. The first-year BTEC student said he was honoured to win the award and enjoyed the ceremony.

Nick plans to join the Police after completing his studies at St Brendan’s and is going to apply next year to become a Specialist Constable, which is a voluntary position that will help him secure his final goal of getting into the Police. After taking Level 2 Public Services (in which he achieved an impressive D*) Nick begun the Level 3 course this year.

He said “I really enjoy the course and it’s nice to do something at College which supports my interests. It’s really encouraging to know how much the course is helping me in securing my end goal of getting into the Police!” Nick will be following after his Dad, Uncle and Grandad, who have all had careers in the forces.
