Students who are planning on going on to Drama School and Performing Arts courses after completing their A-levels were able to make use of an invaluable resource last week, as Sam Ellis visited St Brendan’s.

Sam is a member of the audition panel for the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and visited St Brendan’s to talk about the challenging practical audition process. He gave his group of listeners some insightful information and guidance about what to expect at an audition interview and provided some useful tips. Students gained some highly interesting and significant practical information such as what to wear, how to conduct themselves and what Drama Schools are looking for during an audition. The St Brendan’s students took advantage of the opportunity and asked Sam some interesting questions to ensure they can prepare effectively for what can be a daunting experience.
