The St Brendan’s choir used their impressive talents to help others last week, when they performed at Cabot Circus.

A group of 30 first and second year students, along with Performing Arts teachers Rachel Hunt and Leanne Copley, sang a range of carols for an hour at the busy Bristol shopping centre.

The group was invited to sing to Christmas shoppers by Ronald McDonald House Charities – the festive singing which echoed beautifully around Cabot Circus resulted in lots of money being raised for the valuable charity. Ronald McDonald House provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation at specialist children’s hospitals across the UK, enabling families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life; the choir was thrilled to be able to help!

The students (in their St Brendan’s t-shirts) along with Rachel and Leanne, did a wonderful job at creating Christmas spirit throughout Cabot Circus and impressed many busy shoppers, who stopped for a minute to appreciate their melodic carols.
