The day included a range of talks, workshops and a careers fair, and students enjoyed discovering more about the many career paths and opportunities available to them.

The day began with the Level 2 learners meeting BBC Business Reporter and all-round inspirational journalist Susannah Streeter. Over 100 students listened to Susannah as she spoke about her career with the BBC, how she got there, and her experiences as a RAF Reserve.

Following the talk, students had an opportunity to meet a range of different employers and apprenticeship providers including representatives from the NHS, Police, Army, RAF, Civil Service and British Engineering and Manufacturing Association.

The afternoon provided a chance for students to get involved with interactive workshops, and students found themselves building bridges out of paper, balancing marshmallows on pasta and learning how to create effective scars and wounds with make up!
