Business Studies students recently visited New York! Here’s what student Grace Linbourne had to say on the exciting experience.

The New York business trip is an amazing opportunity for students to have fun, meet new people and experience the busy life of the city that never sleeps. The trip was very well organised and we had different activities to do each day. The best places we visited were the Statue of Liberty where we got the free time to explore the island and take in the Manhattan skyline, and Times Square, where we had free time every evening to visit some shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed the educational side of the trip which included a walk down Wall Street and a tour of the Federal Bank where we got to see where the gold bars were kept which was really interesting. We enjoyed every activity, but the most memorable was on the Wednesday evening when we visited the Empire State Building; the views were incredible. There were also unplanned visits to places such as Carlos’ Bakery which is famous from the TV show Cake Boss - the best Cake we have ever tasted! On the last day we enjoyed our last lunch as one big group in a local pizzeria which was the best way to finish an amazing trip.

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone in the following years as we created some amazing memories and made some great friends. We would like to say a big thank-you to Louise Charles, Asghar Ali and Trish Fairbeard for organising the whole trip.
