The determined squad faced strong competition from Stroud, South Gloucester College and City Academy, but managed to win by a convincing 6 point margin! The team coach, Sue Trezise, worked effectively to develop the squad’s on-court ability and their attitude to training, which could be seen throughout the season. Grace Rumble, captain of the victorious team stated, “We gelled as a team from the start and trained hard to win. I’m delighted to have led the team to victory and can’t wait for next year!” Vicky Haigh, Head of Sports, commented that this is a great achievement for all involved and the standards have now been set for all the teams in the St Brendan’s Sports Union in terms of how to train, bond and play. Building on this success next year means we can look forward to another exciting season – well done to all involved for such impressive hard work and dedication!
