The documentary, which was shown as part of the InTo Film Festival, is about the difficulty of breaking into the Acting profession and stars big names such as Christopher Eccleston, Julie Hesmondhalgh and Maxine Peake. The Acting Class talks specifically about the barriers to success, the walls which face the middle class actor and how the industry is dominated by white middle class men.

Following the screening, the group were lucky enough to meet the directors of the documentary and Joe Sims, a working-class Bristol-born Actor who stared in ITV’s Broadchurch! The aspiring young actors and producers had an opportunity to ask him questions about his career and experiences of acting as somebody from humble beginnings.
