Please note:
This seems to be a popular choice! This course is now full for 2026/27 and so you will not be able apply for it as one of your course choices.
However, you can join our waiting list for this course by emailing us at waitinglist@stbrn.ac.uk
In the meantime, please apply for an alternative course to go alongside your other choices. If a place becomes available, we will contact you and discuss whether you want to swap to this course back into your programme.
As course choices change and students shuffle around, it is very unusual for students to remain on waiting lists and not get onto all of their first choice courses by the beginning of term. We will keep you updated!

Well-qualified and experienced staff, with business backgrounds, teach the courses. You will learn through case studies, group work and presentations, before completing assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations.
The courses include a number of visits to local businesses. Guest speakers may be invited to explain how concepts studied in lessons are actually applied in the business environment. All students are encouraged to apply to take part in the Careers ready programme.
The courses will be assessed through a mixture of internally assessed assignments and externally assessed units. External assessment will be set and marked by the exam board. There will be two opportunities for students to take the external assessments. An overall grade of pass, merit, distinction or distinction star is then awarded.
The College has excellent IT facilities, internet, textbooks, case studies, business documents and links with real businesses.
Qualifications are valued by employers and higher education. The BTEC Level 3 qualifications attract the same UCAS points as A-levels. A business qualification could also support you when applying for jobs in business related careers such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, IT, human resource management, marketing or sales.
During the course students are charged for printing and there are also costs incurred when privately buying reliable storage devices to back up their electronic files. In addition, a number of trips may be arranged which will require students to make a contribution towards costs.
Bursary support is available.
