St Brendan’s Sixth Form College has even more reasons to celebrate as our cohort of Access To Level 3 students received fantastic results in their Level 2 exams!
This year’s GCSE and Level 2 results at St Brendan’s not only exceed national averages in English and Maths resits, but also mark a clear improvement on last year’s achievements — making 2024/25 a huge success for St Brendan’s College.
For students, these results are far more than numbers on a page: they are stepping stones that unlock Level 3 study and pave the way to university or higher-level apprenticeships. Each grade gained represents resilience, determination, and the belief that futures can be transformed.

“We are so proud of the amazing results our students have gained on GCSE Results Day. Our Access to Level 3 programme at St Brendan’s Sixth Form College enables young people to overcome obstacles they may have faced at school, and gain confidence and qualifications to support their futures. These results are a testament to their inspiring work ethic.
But just as importantly, they are the product of a whole College effort. Our staff go above and beyond to nurture, challenge and encourage our students, and these results reflect their extraordinary dedication. Together with the resilience and determination of our learners, we see the very best of our ethos in action: a college rooted in justice, service, and opportunity for all. To see so many students taking their next step into Level 3 study, university or higher-level apprenticeships is truly inspiring. Building on last year’s successes, this is another year where our young people have shown what is possible when belief, hard work and support come together.”
Alongside GCSEs, St Brendan’s Level 2 Applied results have been outstanding this year. These vocational pathways in subjects such as Sport, Business, Health and Social Care, and Protective Services equip students with both practical skills and academic confidence. They provide a direct route into further study at Level 3, and St Brendan’s is delighted that so many learners are already choosing to continue their journey at the College.
The strength of these results demonstrates that every pathway at St Brendan’s is a genuine platform for success, preparing students not just for the next step in education, but for meaningful futures in university, higher apprenticeships, and beyond.
