ITV came to St Brendan’s at the beginning of June during the first stages of auditions, ahead of the show airing in October. Students and alumni were invited to audition at College and performed in front of a panel of ITV judges. 15 students auditioned throughout the day and a mixture of musical styles were performed. All students got through the first round and are now one step closer to performing in front of the celebrity judges and will have the opportunity to win a record contract!

The Voice visit comes after the exciting development of the St Brendan’s Performing Arts Academy this year. As the College becomes more and more recognised for its offering of opportunities within the performing arts world, it seems more corporations within the industry are looking to work with St Brendan’s students! Just two weeks after The Voice visit, the College has received news that Gary Barlow and BBC One would also like to run auditions at St Brendan’s – another fantastic opportunity for students. We look forward to spotting some of our stars on TV this autumn!

If you would like to find out more information about the upcoming ‘Let It Shine’ auditions at St Brendan’s, contact Vicki Haigh or any member of the Performing Arts team.
