The day was designed as a Transition Event for applicants and the team welcomed over 74 families to College, to talk about the huge range of support that can be put in place for individuals with additional needs.

The incredible team of 14 welcomed the students and their families throughout the afternoon and spent time getting to know them, talking about the additional support that can be put in place ahead of enrolment. One to one meetings were arranged for every family to ensure all needs can be met and paperwork is completed before enrolment. Team members were also based on information stands to talk more about the range of support on offer and of course drinks and cakes were a plenty!

St Brendan’s is fully committed to supporting all students with additional needs and makes sure that all of our academic and social provision is inclusive. The Transition Event is just one of many initiatives set up by the team to ensure all students with additional needs feel welcomed and comfortable about joining the St Brendan’s community! The College and team was thrilled to receive fantastic feedback from visitors who attended the event. If you missed it, don’t worry! There will be another Transition Day in the summer.
