On Thursday 19th January several Sport students and staff completed their QCF Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
Students enjoy the training
Participants enjoyed a day long course that covered sports first aid, automated external defibrillator training, Epipen training, cardio pulmonary resuscitation, recovery position, vomiting procedures, heart attack, choking and spinal management. The course was very practical and all participants sat an exam at the end of the day to assess their understanding. Students can now use this qualification alongside any coaching they do outside of College and it has also helped increase their employability skills.
