Taking Action - Why do we need to act fast?

Our planet’s rising temperature affects many aspects of our life:

Food supply

The crops we harvest are all dependent on the Earth’s climate and weather. The warmer our planet is the more difficult it is to grow and produce quality crops.

Fires

Hot and dry conditions increasingly cause forest fires endangering animals and people’s homes.

Reduced rainfall

The rise in temperature is causing drier conditions with less rainfall means many areas are experiencing droughts. Droughts result in a shortage of drinking water for animals, humans, and agriculture as well as businesses and places of education struggling to function fully.

Our seas and oceans

Animals in the oceans and seas have struggled to survive with not only the temperatures rising but with the use of plastics and materials being tipped onto the ocean floors.

Animals on land are affected as rising temperatures are causing snow caps to melt and other habitats are being destroyed to create space for food production.
