AS Level French is studied alongside a broader programme and should be taken in combination with A Levels or equivalent qualifications.
Students would be able to progress to complete the full French A-level if they wished to.
A foreign language qualification is also considered a most valuable asset by employers in a range of occupations within the fields of engineering, medicine, diplomacy, the sciences and many others.
There are opportunities throughout the year to go on trips to the cinema, theatre, universities and conferences. Some students choose to go on a work experience placement, intensive course or exchange to France. Students also have the opportunity to mentor Secondary School pupils during their course and involve themselves in various learning activities, whilst passing on their love of the French language.
