Drama and Theatre

• 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above
• GCSE English Language at grade 4
• GCSE Drama at grade 4 (preferred but not essential)
• GCSE Maths at grade 3 or above
• Successful audition

What will you learn?

You will study:

• Devising original performance work from a text and practitioner
• Performance of monologues or duologues
• Interpretation and staging of a full performance text

You will also:

• Analyse and evaluate performance processes
• Develop skills in acting, directing and design

• A purpose-built theatre with lighting and sound equipment
• A theatre technician
• Dedicated classrooms for theory and rehearsal
• A dance studio and additional rehearsal spaces

Drama & Theatre can be studied alongside a wide range of other subjects. Students cannot take this with Performing Arts (Acting).
