Before you start at St Brendan’s, you’ll need to set up your college email account.
Your email is important - it’s how we’ll send you updates, key information and everything you need to get ready for September.
Why your college email matters
Your St Brendan’s email account will be your main way of receiving information as a student.
You’ll use it to:
- Check important updates from the College
- Access learning platforms and resources
- Communicate with teachers and staff
It’s important to set this up as soon as possible so you don’t miss anything.
What you’ll need
Before you start, make sure you have:
- Your college login details
- Access to a device (phone, tablet or computer)
- An internet connection
If you’ve received your login information, you’re ready to begin.
Setting up your email
These are the 3 steps you need to follow:
Choose a password for your new account by clicking the link below.
Self Service Password Reset (stbrn.ac.uk)
Your Username is your 6 digit Student ID number.
Please note, we will need your correct mobile number in our system for this to work, so if you have a new number or entered someone else’s when you applied, please email Applicationadmin@stbrn.ac.uk with your full name and new mobile number.
Once you’ve chosen your password, please go to Office.com or click the link below to log into your student account using your 6 digit Student ID number above, followed by @student.stbrn.ac.uk. For example 123456@student.stbrn.ac.uk. Make sure you log out of any other Outlook email accounts you may have saved on your device first, otherwise you won’t be able to log in.
You will also be asked to set up MFA (MultiFactor Authentication).
This is an extra layer of security to make sure your details stay safe. You will need to choose to either receive a secure code via text message or to download the Authenticator App.
If you're on a mobile we recommend choosing to receive a secure code via text message.

Once you've completed these 3 steps, your College email will be all set up!

Accessing your email on your phone
You can also access your college email on your phone using the Outlook app.
Simply:
- Download the Outlook app
- Sign in using your college email details
This makes it easier to stay up to date wherever you are.
